Woodpecker and a Strange Sky?

Over the last week or so we have had a lovely female great spotted woodpecker come to our feeders. 🙂

She loves the suet balls and will really peck away at them even when we’re about in the garden or in our conservatory watching which is quite unusual. 🙂

This time of year it is especially important to put lots of food out for the birds and other little critters as the weather is turning cold; another thing you can do is to make sure you break the ice on any water you have put out, as they really need it this time of year too! 🙂

I also took this photograph; this happened just as it was getting dark and the sun had only just set – it just looked really amazing and very strange (I’m still trying to figure out settings for night-time photography). 😀

I love how the moon is covered by the clouds and the light is fading, giving the sky and moon that tinted glow. 🙂

Have you taken any interesting shots in the evening or at night and what did they turn out like?

(Sorry about the shortness of the post – have been very busy lately.)
