Confused Blooming Plants

Our seasons have been really weird. Late last November and through into very early January we have had very above average temperatures, which means that some flowers that usually bloom in very early spring or late winter are coming up now. :S

This cornflower which bloomed last week looks very beautiful in the full sunshine. 🙂

Here’s a close up, but just round the corner from last week we had snow and some very hard ground-frosts!

It really has wrecked havoc with some of the plant life here and this poor Cornflower has died unfortunately. 😦

This Primula has made it through the frosty and snowy period, even though it shouldn’t really be in bloom this early.

I’m hoping that my other plants and bulbs that I planted last year are going to be ok and survive?

So how’s the weather affecting your plant, wildlife habitats and Eco-systems and do you have any ideas as to how to get through this confusing weather we’re having?
