Busy Garden Birds

During this time of year it’s a really busy time for our garden birds.

Laying eggs feeding chicks and then fledglings leaving and wanting to be fed by the parents….mostly!

Here’s a few pictures of our parents and juvenile birds in our garden.

The blue tit adults make about a thousand trips per-day to feed the chicks; this adult is just leaving the nest box.

I love blue tits they look like the punk rockers of the bird world. 🙂

Here’s one of the adults from a different perspective, inside our conservatory….peek-a-boo!

The starlings produce a lot of young this time of year and they squabble like crazy, but it’s fun to watch and learn.

Who’s first in getting something to eat from this mob of starling juveniles? They absolutely love the suet log feeder.

Our very territorial robin is very photogenic and posed for me in our old apple tree; it’s so friendly and knows to comes down to the tree as soon as I start to put the food out. 🙂

Here are our starling juveniles enjoying a splash in the bird bath in the sun.

I hope everyone is enjoying late spring and all the different varieties of birds and other little critters and new life that explodes at this time of year? 🙂
